  1. I don't play much so I am probably the worst one to give suggestions here, but here I go anyways

    I think Crash/Crossfire would be great when the server goes low pop and the map voting process begins, and I sustain this because these two are great maps and usually people tend to like it a lot. By including one of these two maps into the small map pool two things could be sorted out.

    Firstly, people would have more choice of maps to vote for besides the really small maps (Killhouse, Shipment, Showdown).

    Secondly, it would deal with something that @Milad said.

    It is possible that if players see that crash/crossfire is into the next map rotation, odds are that they stay to play, what is for me, two of the greatest maps in cod4.

    Something I have also thought about is, make one of the maps off the medium map pool to be randomly picked up into the small map pool.

    The point of this is that they are the smallest maps by a long way. There aren't really any other small maps. When the server population is low, playing on larger maps is boring as hell because there is such little action.

    Sure, I understand that. But almost always the voted map is Showdown among Shipment and the other map I forgot its name.

    Given the fact that there are only 3 small maps in cod4, 1 more map to vote for from the medium range map pool won't hurt anybody and we would have more choice of maps, just an idea.

    Yeah..

  3. Ow, didn't expect that many posts. Thank you all and I'll feed your curiosity for those that asked

    The project is for the game World of warcraft: Legion and until now I had been playing the game in a casual way (just as a game for fun), but now I start having more time available, especially after this upcoming spring and a hardcore PvE roster from that game hired me and other people to get as close as we can to make it through world top 5.. well that's an overview since you prolly won't understand a thing about what I'm talking about.. I link you the website if you want to know more http://www.fatsharkyes.eu/about-us/

    I won't dissapear though and I will be around here, but my activity on Cod4 - which is the core game I've got to know you all - has stopped, but friendships, etc. may ofcourse continue without Cod4 :)

    @Ninja , @Aquiz I already consider this as my home because of your hospitality, knowledge, you guys must be so awesome irl, I use ts a lot and wished to have seen anyone online over there, though the days I've been on ts, unfortunately no1 joined me up :(

    And if anyone I tag now happens to read this post (since i don't think they are even in the forums), I'll always have you a place in my heart :)

    @hLk @BravoSix @DrunkDoctor @DreamEater @XanDeMalvis @HillaryClinton @DonaldTrump and more I've had great times with you on freezetag ;)

    Strong as hell Call of Duty 4 and long life to this awesome game. Almost 4 months playing streak this time, and almost 400h on record for this period. I need to reconsider the Remastered, just to see if it's worth the money they ask for!

  4. Will leave cod4 for a large amount of time as i have an upcoming project building up in another game and will take any spare time I may have available from now on, so:

    Gz to everyone who's made this amazing, and most importantly, I'll miss you Freezetag!

    Keep this going and make a notice if you move on to other games heeh :>

    (Note: You Are allowed to change the name one in 300 days.)

    Maybe this rule is for you only xD

    I have this

    Spoiler

    But there's another person who said about the 300-day thingy as well, so either the rules have changed since or I'm getting a bit frustrated and paranoid

    This is off-topic yep, but given the latter matter, maybe everyone should be able to change their name first time for no penalty, and then apply the rule for future name changes. Maybe I should had paid attention upon sign up, any note with referrence about names being auto synced with user's Steam one.. can't remember whether I was notified or not

    It's not the fact of moderating it. It just needs to be setup correctly so if there is downtime on ts then we can use it easily. Right now its a useable state just not very well for all users... in my opinion.

    If ts stops working you got i.e. Raidcall and doesn't need any setup for a temporary usage ^^ But it all comes down to personal preference and familiarity

    Please give me a clear explanation about what is wrong and possible ideas about how to improve.

    Both post contain much information but not to the point. ;)

    Is it possible for you to change mp_waw_toujane by mp_toujane_beta? (or the one you have in promod server rota)

    Toujane beta is a lot smoother and has preset spawnpoints, not the messed up ones we have on mp_waw_toujane

  8. I've also had this happen in the past. Nothing you can really do without backing up your in-game profile data as far as I know, it's a known problem as old as roughly in 2008-09 people were already experiencing similar issues.

    All you can do is being preventive. And I should do something about it too, tired of having all my barracks reset due to my laziness to back up my profile :00007956:

  9. Confirmed a bug in which mp_killhousemap will never be launched after being selected as the most voted map in the voting system. Instead, the server sends us to the previous played map. This has happened 4 times already as far as my own experience goes. Have had to wait for 4 times to fail on purpose to discard coincidence with the system failing at times launching the most voted maps (doesn't happen often though :rolleyes:).

    edit: two things I have noticed;

    - this has happened since new maps were added, & before, killhouse was named Killhouse on the voting period, now it's mp_killhousemap

  10. New maps seem to cope up pretty well with users for now, a success as a whole, gj @CraZyDoGGy for his suggestion 8o

    Perhaps Toujane is the least played for its obvious trouble with spawns (like @IceOps Wolfman said), in both small and big matches as there's one spot in that map where enemies spawn right behind an ally., so I ask a review on this map, the presumed new version of Toujane hasn't fixed it.

    Also, I have noticed a bug with one of the maps (mp_killhousemap) on the voting/launching map system, but will be hard to confirm since the system fails at times launching the most voted map.

  11. Hey new1, you're such a good player, I'm really sorry you got banned (@Blackstab here). Well it's all unfortunate but there are a couple of things I feel I need to comment about;

    But please don't say things like: Editing textures gives advantage. If you really believe that, please open the game with highest graphic settings and take a screen shot. Then open with lowest settings and take another screen shot from same spot. Now compare this two and ask yourself; how much easy to detect opponents with higest graphic settings compare to lowest.

    Editing textures do give advantage and hereby I will explain that from my own experience. One game I played back in my childhood was 007: Nightfire. You could have player textures edited so it's cyan (for allies) and magenta (for hostile). Instead of their common textures, having textures with colors that attract attention over standard ones will affect in your reaction time as it's a lot easier to spot enemies which you know how they look like and its color-pitch, you will be bound to automatically attack - as soon as you see magenta, you will spam attack to death. That's where advantage lies on in my opinion. I obviously unknow what textures you are using, but as I myself was a server admin for other games as well, texture editing becomes generally forbidden (unless otherwise especified).

    About how hardware affects reaction time... is very, very arguable. I can also say that having 250fps is an advanatge over those who can only run at 125fps. And that's true! But I'm not going to say that 250fps is cheating because it is possible to have it at that rate and it's widely accepted. Obviously, the better your hardware is, the better you will see graphics and details.

    So if you believe that, basicially you're sayin' if I pay more to hardware I can have that easy on the eye advantage but if I refuse to pay more to hardware and edit stuff I can't have that easy on the eye advantage.

    It applies to its full extent to me. I run Cod4 on my laptop HD 3000 getting 125fps only and everything on minimum. Should I want to play with better graphics, ergo see enemies better and sooner (in the deep distance), I will inevitably have to upgrade my hardware.

    Greetings mate!
