Automatically pernamently banned from server

I'm sorry if thread like that already exists, didn't check it. When I entered one of Iceops RoZo servers I was pernamently banned like on some other servers where I didn't even start to download files of modded server. This time reason given to me is "hack". I never use any kind of hacks. Can I be unbanned?

I have CoD 4 for 2 years.

And by wrong reason I mean that there is probably actually no reason of this ban.

IMO the algorithm for the keygen generator is the same that Activision actually uses, so there is the off chance that it spits out a real key if you have luck.

Also yes, Steam can accidently sell a key that was used before; happened to me with Black Ops - installed the game and when prompted to give my key it said that it was already in use.

Took me 2 days (+ bill + my signature on it; scanned and emailed to them) until I could play

EDIT: The same btw also happened with my Crysis 2...since then I have a love-hate relationship with Steam xD

Or.... he joined a untrusted server and some stole his guid (Which is probably the reason).

I'm pretty sure you will be unbanned as the connections log ip's.

What to take away from this is to not connect to server that you don't trust.

Oh also you should use CodX client which ties a guid to a steam uid I believe which will help us in further investigations.

Well as far as I know Steam already sold in use CoD4 keys.

About generating a valid keycode is very unlikely. All cdkey fields 1 to 4 can be picked by the user. Field 5 only has to match to fields 1 to 4. It is kinda a checksum.

Possibility to generate a colliding key is 1 / (36^16)

To generate an official key possibly is the above result multiplied by the number of sold copies. Largest problem here would be to verify the key is valid in so short time.
