    Hi guys,

    I've made a simple ftp server by http://www.rejetto.com/hfs/

    When someones joins the server by the servers direct ip the players are redirected to ftp link for downloading maps and mods.

    But the problem is when someone joins the server by Gameranger then the players is redirected to ftp link but the download doesn't start and so again they are redirect to the server, so they get slow download speed. I've seen other servers using redirect ftp link and when players joins the server by Gameranger the player is redirected to ftp link for downloading maps and mods and the download starts :| . But in my case the download doesn't start. ;(

    Players can only download from my redirect ftp link when they connect directly by ip... not by Gameranger.

    So how the other servers are doing it ? What is the thing I'm no doing which they did ?

    From my side

    after we use 1.7a patch on all our clan servers, all our members notice that there is improved with their ping 15 -20 Less + Less lag

    God blase you all for this patch :saint:

    God bless Ninja for making 1.7a for WIndows and best of all, making Gameranger plugin too :thumbsup:

    I've bought gameranger plugin, I know how to set pass and room description but dont know hot to set max player. Whats the command @Ninja ?

    I've forgotten most of the command of 1.7a can someone please also tell me the other commands like antiblock, console name, and other stuff.

    Well of course only Ninja can tell, but I do not believe it improves your connection in anyway.

    You'll see when I get my hands on the full patch ;)

    But why is that the only reason you want to use Cod4X? How about no-collide through teammates, admin system, plugins, etc, etc?

    lol I've forgot about anti block and other stuff :P been so long I haven't used 1.7a

    How does Cod4X improve your ping? It doesn't make your servers internet any faster...

    Some how it does. If you are hosting with the full updated patch,then you will see the difference. Iceops 1.7a patch can help reduce ping :thumbsup: that's the only reason I wanna use iceops 1.7a patch. I wish for the full patch please @Ninja :(

    So sad..... :( This ain't the patch I once knew. I got 0 ms ping when connecting through localhost ip (127.0.0.1) and my friend Ripper got 12 ms ping. when server was hosted by iceops patch. But now with this ((https://iceops.in/update/priv/releases/1.7/basefiles/753/linux/main/xiceops_00.iwd)) I get 5 ms ping and the same friend 23 ms ping. Its the same ping hosting without iceops patch. Iceops patch help reduce ping. But now in this case its not. Because I cant get the full update.

    It's not knowledge about CoD4X (that's how 1.7a is called) that you lack, but the stock CoD4 server knowledge. You can find it in the internet or someone might help you with setting up your server. I'm afraid noone here (I might be wrong ofc) will have enough free time to spend on teaching you the basics while they can easily be found on Google.

    I just want to know how to load my mod...In cod4 game I start the game & load my mod and start cod4 dedicated server....but in 1.7a the dedicated server console starts directly without starting the game....so how can I load my mod ? is there any cmd to load my specified mod ?

    Consider asking a willing friend to do all this for you. Apparently you don't have the experience and knowledge for handling this.

    Don't take pride about what you know. If I am correct...you are also a newbie once and didn't know about this stuff...or did you? natural born knowledge maybe? I'm a new user and know little about 1.7a ......is that a crime ?

    Is this forum for helping people or not or just to make fun of newbie users ?

    I am new here....and I dont know anything about iceops 1.7a patch. can some one please tell me step by step instruction how start a dedicated promod server for cod4 in gameranger with 1.7a patch
