I have the map once restarted for unbalanced teams, not twice...
I warned the players over several rounds to balance the teams.
the reason was unfair teams, nothing else

Actually, turning a device / program off and back on solves the problem quite often. Ofc some people indeed forget to plug the power cord in and blame the producer, but in most cases it is the state in which the device ends up that's corrupt. The easiest way to fix that is to restart it

It's not knowledge about CoD4X (that's how 1.7a is called) that you lack, but the stock CoD4 server knowledge. You can find it in the internet or someone might help you with setting up your server. I'm afraid noone here (I might be wrong ofc) will have enough free time to spend on teaching you the basics while they can easily be found on Google.

Ye thought of that for the non-authable-mac-players back when UIDs were live. The code is ready. The conclusion was that it would empty the server though.

ia32-libs isnt on 14.04 LTS, would Multi Arch be around the same?

I already wrote, you need to click build_win32.cmd. For it to work you need to install MinGW first though.
If you feel too lazy, use this.

I have a problem, i used to have a 2GB VPS that would run cod4 with the standard linux binaries (ones found here http://www.fpsadmin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15224 ) which i had no problem with, worked perfectly, i then decided to upgrade the vps to 4GB so since i have 4GB i upgraded to 64bit version of Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and do the same process i did before, and the server terminates the screen before the cod4 server can even start i am setting the cod4_lnxded file with 755 perms, is there any idea on how to make the server run? heres the screen line
screen -A -m -d -S games /usr/local/games/cod4-linux-server/cod4/cod4_lnxded +set sv_pure 1 +set dedicated 2 +set fs_game mods/pml219_ne +set fs_homepath /usr/local/games/cod4-linux-server/cod4 +set net_ip 108.61.213.105 +set net_port 28930 +set sv_punkbuster 1 +exec server.cfg +map_rotate
Try running it without screen and tell us what error terminates the server please.

Uhm, it works on Windows as well. You might need to compile the binary yourself though, source files are available here. Download the zip and unpack on a Windows machine, then run build_win32.cmd. The compiled binary should be in bin/ after it's done. Rest is exactly the same as on Linux.
Just a note - your home computer is most likely behind a NAT, if so, you will need to forward corresponding ports in your router.

Either run it on your PC or rent a server. There is no charity organisation running CoD4 servers for clans AFAIK

1 hour max, yes. And then ofc we will have to disable the server logging same as most maps forces us to, because the script will CRASH all the time.
Still, even if it was 1h, there are so many productive things you can do instead... Like playing a video game for example. Yeah, I prefer that
