I've got alot of experience with minecraft server hosting, so if you need help with anything, I'll do my best to assist you.

You can't take that picture in the middle of the night , but umm, I don't think paintball should be a permanent service. Simply because you get bored of it, at least I did (quite quickly I might add, which rarely happens for me).

Hello, I've got 3 years of programming experience, but to be honest most of it was web design and stuff, so I'm not yet fully familiar with all basic programming concepts. I've recently started learning C++ and since it's quite a complex language I figured I'd read a book, as I usually do. Though I'm just starting, programming can be extremely fun for me and I'm planning on becoming a software developer when I grow up. Anyways, the book I chose was: Beginning C++ Through Game Programming. It's also uploaded at: URL. Since I know quite a few of you are programmers in this community (I find being in a group of actual programmers awesome, since I'm way ahead of my classmates, as they mostly waste their lives playing games), I'd very much appreciate it if you could just quickly browse through it and see if it covers everything it should and from a scale of 1-10, at what level of C++ knowledge I'll be after reading it (I'm guessing around 2 ). Also, if you've studied C++ too, what books have you read / how did you learn? Thanks in advance.

I have a few suggestions I'd like to share in case anyone plans on modding obscurity in the future. the medkit marines have will poison an obscurity if knifed, since the medicine is meant for humans; the obscurity will die within a minute, the time it takes to kill is random (max 1 min, min 10s). The way he dies is every few seconds he receives damage and maybe a small stunning/hallucination effect. colored smoke grenades, colored lasers, colored squad indicators (everything depends on what squad you're in) maybe admins get a reserved squad? ;D (others can't join)if there is more than one obscurity, they all get indicators (similiar to the squad indicator, but maybe black with an "O" written on it) hovering over their headsnew custom weapons, new custom maps (to freshen up the mod)round winning killcamobscurity gets a different skin for knifelimit fps to 250admins can open votes for players to select mapC4, if you press stance special it explodes them all at once, no matter where they are placedmaybe a perk to keep the sniper always steadylet players save their classes (may be hard to achieve, but would be sooooo good)optional: updated help including syncs (unless this is supposed to be some sort of secret?)very optional: different positions of playing dead very optional: removal of rainI'll be adding more as I think, but feel free to add your own!

So I was searching the internet a little and I came accross the obscurity mod website and found out the mod we all love to play has more than one gamemode (maybe only I didn't know about this until now?) - URL. My suggestion would be to maybe have one day of the week dedicated to a different gamemode. For instance: every sunday. Me myself am really interested in trying out these gamemodes . Ofcourse it'd probably be best to decide this in a vote, I just posted this as an idea.

Hi folks! So as many as you already know IceOps has recently created a youtube channel and other social media pages. As many other youtube channels, we will make an introduction video that represents us as a community. This will hopefully bring more attention to our forum and to our servers. So after some though I found out that our video can best speak for the community if the community is the one to make it, not just an individual part. This means that the introduction video will be created of all of our demos. The mods used in the video can be either: deathrun/obscurity/promod/hardcore (we'll be very picky at hardcore plays ) HOW TO RECORD A DEMO: I suggest everyone records their gameplay (do this by typing /record gameplay1 ; /record gameplay2 - just make sure you don't override your demos - 2 demos of the same mod cannot be named the same). You'll notice that you're recording on the left bottom of the screen. And not to worry, these files take up very little space. It does not matter at how good graphics you'll record at. Also, you'll make my life much easier if you start&stop recording after each round, or right after you've made your big play (this will spare me alot of time). Anyway, once you've got your demos (recordings), you can locate them at either "Program Files/Activision/Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare/Mods/the mod/demos/nameofdemo.dm_1". or at "Users/your account/appdata/local/CallofDuty4MW/players/profiles/name of profile/mods/the mod/demos/nameofdemo.dm_1". When you've found it, just upload it and send it to me.
