I have fixed it! thanks for your help. The fix was to have the admins of my host enabling the custom exe to be executed!

One last thing. I'm trying to install COD4x18 on my server but I don't really understand the instructions on github. I placed all the files in my windows server. What does my startup need to look like? I have something like this: ./cod4x18_dedrun.exe +set dedicated 2 (etc) EDIT: I use i3D as host.

Ah okay, I'll look for that. I'm interested in installing CODx on the server and see if I can get some scripts working! Any hints in what direction I may search?

Yeah you're right, I just wanted to know if there is a better way. I think it's a bit weird that it's such a hassle. I had some nice settings but I will need to install everything again. Oh and there was a small bug in leetmod that when enemies fire they cannot be seen on the minimap. But thanks anyway! Edit: But in IceOps certain perks aren't allowed too right? How is that done?

Hi, I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but I'm going to give it a try. Anyway I'm planning on start a small private server for cod4 for me and my friends. I have set up a server a while ago at i3d.nl and used Leetmod to customize some settings. This time I want to go somewhat smaller because leetmod is kind of big. Do any of you know how I can simply change health settings and maybe allowed perks WITH still having the ability to use your own classes (so not ModWarfare's system where you have to create your classes again every match). Thanks in advance and if I did something wrong, please notify me!

Yeah I didn't mean lucky like that. But most of the time I get killed on spawn because of those things. I do agree that it could be worse (like with freeze tag), but I think it'd be much more fun if they'd dissapear. Anyway Volarific, I'm talking about the IceOps server, not my own.

Hi all, Maybe it has been said already but isn't there a possibility to disable the grenade launchers on the high xp hardcore server on COD4? I know there are many people who agree with me. It's such a noob way of killing people. It really gets on my nerves when I get killed by those lucky gl shots. Anyway, it's just my opinion and I think it has been requested many times. Edit: since some people read it the wrong way (I probably wrote it wrong), I want to clarify that I'm not talking about my own server, i'm talking about ninja's server!

Yes, when you just got a 3 kill streak, a voice will announce that. That's when the entire game freezes for a very short period. Although it's short, it's very annoying and can cost me my life... (drama intended).

I just reïnstalled COD4 on steam because I had this problem with the game freezing/lagging for a second. I unfortunately still experience this. It's not always the same, but most of the time when I call in a killstreak or when a rocket is fired from a helicopter (so I presume it has something to do with loading in the sounds, and maybe loud sounds), the game lags or freezes for a second. Didn't have this problem before, I think it was after installing codx1.8. This is extremely annoying. Does someone experience this too, or has anybody a solution? Thanks in advance!

You can use Leetmod: http://www.moddb.com/mods/leetmod/news/leetmod-v19-cod4-patch-18-mod-released. It has many functionalities which includes the disabling of certain perks etc.
