Hey there! First of all, I'd like to say I'm finally back after being inactive for a couple of years, and it's nice to see everyone still hanging around. Really missed ya'll! Onto the point. I've been watching our servers' activity and it's needless to say they're pretty empty throughout the day (not including hardcore tdm). Of course, the game itself is very old and the player base isn't nearly as big as it was in its prime days, but that doesn't mean we can't get at least a few players to join our servers. I believe that our mods aren't as attractive as they once were, and some of them are even unplayable without a larger amount of players (examples being CTF and Freeze tag). Because of that, I suggest we spice our servers up a bit by changing current gamemodes to new ones. For example, I'd love to see the Hide n Seek (HnS) mod back in action, the zom_db mod, or even the gun game mod. HnS mod currently isn't played on any of the active servers, and I believe there'd be some players interested in it. Gun game is very popular and I believe we'd succeed in running it, especially if we additionally edit it in 'IceOps style' (hardcore tdm is a good example). I'm proposing to try and get our servers more active, and I believe this would be a good way to start since the current servers are just sitting empty. I already got the green light for this to happen, now I just need a good amount of players agreeing to this so we can actually implement this, so please leave a comment or like my post so I know you're standing by my suggestion! Thanks for reading through this. TL;DR: Change the current empty servers' gamemodes to other ones such as Hide 'n' Seek, zom_db, gun game, etc. to try and get some players online.

You have a point, I agree with you.

That's the worst possible way to deal with the bug. If there is really no solution to delete the rocket element then you can simply make a timer to destroy it.

At least you tried Which HDD did you buy at the end?

I guess you do have a valid point *sadface* I this bug that big of a problem anyway?

I'd be more than glad to try and fix the problem myself (of course I cannot guarantee it'll be fixed), as I recently got into QueryC (cod4) programming and it'd be a nice challenge to overcome. @Ninja if you can, send me the file the glitch is in (or even that certain part of code).

That's still low, but who am I to judge if you can play with it? How does that work? You could access it in the old version. And it wasn't shown before on the screen from what I remember.

Hi, I'll write up a quick story in compositions so you're fully met with everything, if you just want a TL;DR version, read the highlighted parts. Intro I was in IceOps back in 2012, playing cod4 every day without any problems, smoothly and nicely. Since this was nearly 5 years ago I'm not sure what happened or what could have I done to cause this problem, but if I remember correctly the issue appeared out of nowhere. It started out slowly, dropping FPS every 10-15 seconds from a almost-locked 125 FPS to 90-100 FPS, and it didn't seem much of a problem. Although, after playing the game for half an hour, the FPS drops were dropping quicker and quicker, every 5-8 seconds to unplayable 60-70 FPS, and that's just not something you want while being the Obscurity. I did my best to fix it, tried cleaning my PC, reinstalling cod4, basically anything I could come up with. Eventually, I've quit. It was pointless to play the unplayable, hence I left IceOps as well. Real deal Few months ago I came back to IceOps, as after getting Windows 10 and a new SSD that replaced my hard drive I was most certain the issue was gone. As thought so, it turned out to be true. The FPS in game was pretty stable, no FPS drops on sight, everything perfect (except I got the pirate version that has it's own customized .iwd files....). However, after these ~5 months of playing the issue came back. Again, out of nowhere, no reason for it to be happening. It started happening on Obscurity server, same as before, first the FPS drops are small and go every 10-15 seconds, and after a while it goes faster and FPS drops lower. It is not only on Obscurity server it's happening though, it also happens on Hide and Seek, and freeze tag. I'm not sure if it's on every server (will check today/tomorrow) but it is really big of an issue as I cannot play. That is pretty much it, and I'd really appreciate any help you can offer. Unless they're going to moderate forums, it is a pointless "role" to have. You don't need a special treatment just for being active

We don't really need to expand, quite contrary actually. All we think about is expanding to other games or adding new servers, I say think different. Why not focus on the current servers and make them better, in every way possible. Organizing events, contests, happy hour etc., all of these things can be added into our current servers for bigger benefit, AKA more players and more fun. Just my opinion though

Le me has a question. I just got accepted, and it'd just be a dumb thing to re-apply with pretty much the same application I made last month. Will I be able to copy my last application and of course change it a bit? I also want to say that I'm glad you're doing this. Ever since I came back I've seen no members online but a few, that are actually active and cooperative. I give you a full support of doing this, as seeing IceOps so shallow and inactive makes me want to struggle for a staff rank in order to manage IceOps clan and make it way more strict. I remember back in 2012 (unsure of the year) you had to pass some sort of test to join IceOps, which is something we should bring back in, or you could just enforce the trial period to be more strict, tougher and harder to pass. Can't wait for this to happen!

Call of Duty 2. Started playing it a month ago approximately, and I'm pleasantly surprised. When I say Cod2 I don't mean singleplayer or normal multiplayer, but only wars, and it is epic. I got addicted to it in no time, so if you have free time to spend, I definitely recommend this game.
