Did you completely delete and reinstall call of duty 4?

If so, cod4x requires the latest 1.7 patch, updates can be found here http://www.callofdutyview.net/downloads/cod4mw-17/

Other patches can be found here http://www.callofdutyview.net/downloads/ ( Under the section COD4 of course)

Yes, but I have Cod4 through Steam, so any patches will be automatic upon reinstallation?

  2. So, as some of you are aware I have been inactive for the past year or so due to personal work life etc., but the main reason was that I could no longer join the IceOps servers.

    This was due to Cod4x.

No one seemed to be able to help me before, but I thought I would try again, as I miss playing Deathrun.

Without Cod4x installed, I am able to join and play on servers that do not require Cod4x installed.

I installed the mod through the download when attempting to join the IceOps servers for the first time.

I load up the game. Go to join an IceOps server.

    Then this happens... https://prntscr.com/hzbtuu

I do not know why. I have never found a solution.

    Can any of you help?

    https://cod4x.me/index.php?/forums/topic/2378-cod4x-error-817/

Edit: I get the Error 817 whenever I try and join ANY server, not just the IceOps server!...

Edit 2: I created a thread on the Cod4x forum, and have posted the link if anyone else wants to stay updated on the issue for further use/knowledge on the topic!

  3. From what I remember of the last time we tried this, no one really played on the server...

I mean, by all means give it another shot, as I'm unfamiliar with how the community is now, with being away for so long.

Who knows, it may work out this time!

  4. In future reports, please use the following report form layout >> https://iceops.co/index.php?/topic/3259-report-form/

As mentioned above, when reporting a player we require the player's Steam iD/GUID, and to do this type $ministatus in the console in the game.

We also require some form of proof, either a screenshot of the reported player breaking rules, or a demo/video footage of it.

As stated above, we cannot take this case any further because of the lack of content in this report, but thank you for looking out for our servers :P

    - Chewie.

  5. Without proof of leaving as the activator we cannot respond to that aspect of the report.

If someone else could take a look at the demo and respond to the initial report, that would be great please, as I am not currently at home to do so myself. :P

Ok. Well a lot of people work during the week, so what if we put the games on

    Saturday's/Sunday's @ 20:00hrs GMT time?

So is everyone who wants to play OK with

    ** Sunday's @ 20:00hrs ** approx.?

  7. As of now, we have had 12 people interested in participating.

@FoxBao & @peura you have both been active in this thread but haven't given you thoughts?

     Members:         Chewie.    Kienio        RevaX    sjors
     Moderators:     Rami    FoxBao (?)    D (?)    Jack
     Admins:        Ninja    Wolfman        Joker    Aquiz
     Users:         V!zu4L     ZigZag

If we get two more players we can do a 4 team knock out tournament, 4v4 each game :P If more people are interested we could always make the teams bigger/more teams :D

When we play against other clans why should we scramble?

However if we do get regular players and manage to find other clans to play against then we could possibly make a Group or Team if we play regular matches? :P

^ ^ :P Hope this answers your question. Scrambled teams would just be if we did an internal tournament within our own community.

  9. Here's my thought:

What if we host an internal knockout tournament for our community only at first if we get enough participants, to see how it goes before thinking about facing off other Clans?

    • We set a specific day and time (ie. We might say Each stage of the tournament will be held on every Sunday evening @ 20:00hrs GMT until the end of the tournament!) and make sure everyone who has said they will participate can actually make their games! Of course, dates and times will be agreed on beforehand so players can state whether they will be available or not.

    • Depending on how many people who are interested, we essentially put everyone's name (Members, Leaders, Users etc. - anyone who wanted to participate, no matter whether you are a Member/Moderator or not!) into a hat and drawn at RANDOM to determine the teams. This way, we scramble up the teams to make it fair, so that each team has different skill levels, and it would also ensure that people get to know one another if they haven't met the players on their team before etc.

    • We can create a knockout style tournament - like you see with the eSport games such as CS:GO tournaments; Team A Vs Team B, whilst Team C Vs Team D, then the winning team of both games will play each other for the final etc. (Please see the following link to get a better understanding of what I mean >> http://prnt.sc/e8z1bd)

    • Not only could we play tournaments for fun, but perhaps we could reward winners with a prize of some sort? (ie. We could maybe give the players on the winning team Steam keys, maybe some CS:GO skins, or maybe even Donator Rank on our servers for a limited time? Or if anyone is willing to purchase a prize rewards to give away that would be good also!)

Overall, by doing something like this can create a stronger bond between our whole community, not only for Members to get to know one another better, but for us to get to know some of the players who play on our servers also! We could then use any internal tournaments we play to get an idea of player's skills, to determine an actual team for if we play any other Clans! :P

Edit: (Adding a list of Clans who we could possibly ask to Face-Off with in Promod games in the future)

Morning Star Gaming | Born 2 Kill Clan | Universal Alliance | Nameless Noobs | Precision Gaming (Raid/pXg) |

We will need several things before we could even consider to create this "group".

I think he means it more for fun then really creating a group but correct me if I'm wrong @Chewie.

Yes, sorry, my idea was supposed to come across as @Mc.Joker stated; just for fun, for now.

However if we do get regular players and manage to find other clans to play against then we could possibly make a Group or Team if we play regular matches? :P

If we were to make teams though, then we would of course be looking for 'good' players, and this might rule out some of the players who still want to play, which is why - in my opinion - we should keep it open for all players of our community and just play with our Clan only against each other, and maybe if it comes to it have one other team for if we play against other clans? :P
