Mc.Joker 929 Report post Posted July 9, 2014 Since 2 months I have massive lag spikes on the servers. When I'm playing I have every 5 a 10 min 'connection lost' for about 10 - 15 sec. My question is: Is it the servers or my internet? I don't think it's my internet because I have one of the best and on the internet(chrome etc..) I have no problem at all.. I hope u can help me.. IJzzo 1,072 Report post Posted July 9, 2014 I had the same issue quite few month ago. It was a faulty Ethernet connection. Try to pick another transfer rate in your computers Ethernet settings. For example 10mbps. However 1st it is required to find out where the problem is. You can for this ping your router. ping routeripaddr -t See if you lose connection to router when this is going to happen. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

IJzzo 1,072 Report post Posted July 11, 2014 Well you play cod4 and when you see connection interrupted switch to your desktop to see for your router's connection. Your router's connection is interrupted when you see timeouts in ping responses. But don't start the pinging when you see lag because then it is probably already working again when you start the ping thing. So it must keep running. QueNNch 515 Report post Posted July 11, 2014 Today it was confirmed that server had little lag spikes. Everyone on the obscurity server was saying they've got them. The one timeout can be directly connected to Connection Interrupted or not ? What does ping shows when the game shows Connection Interrupted ? something or timeout ? Mc.Joker 929 Report post Posted July 12, 2014 I don't know why but it's now less then before. Before I had ping 999 and what I said earlyer: connection interrupted for 10-15 sec And when I played. Mc.Joker 929 Report post Posted August 6, 2014 I don't know if it affect it but we have alot of internet stuff around the house, The list: always 3 phones sometime 5 5 laptops (not always on) 2 pc's (always on) one smart tv one Ipad one ps 3 one apple-tv ------------------------------- But like now everyone is to sleep and I'm sitting here alone.. Scott 221 Report post Posted August 19, 2014 i do have the same problem .... just now i had connection timed out for spit seconds... like for 15 sec or so. On the Rozo server. Tried to ping my router but exepte a 107ms instead of a 1ms respons it didnt show up. well probably was to late. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Is your Ethernet wire very long ? 1) Yes I did.. No change.. 2) I've my laptop but it's only for school/typing so it can't play CoD4 3) I've no idea I'm 5-6 meters from the router.
